How to make date balls with petit mange biscuits

Essentials Amount required
Petit Mange Biscuits 1 packet
dates 350 grams
butter 25 grams
Walnut kernel powder 12 glasses
Ginger powder A tablespoon
Nutmeg powder A tablespoon
Coconut powder, pistachio powder, rose petals, cinnamon, coffee, cocoa powder and sesame seeds as desired
The amount is recommended for 4 people.

Step 1: Start by washing the dates and soaking them in hot water to make peeling easier. Once the dates are softened, peel them and remove the pits. Next, mash the dates using the back of a spoon or a fork until they reach a soft consistency.

Step 2: In a non-stick pan, melt some butter on low heat. Add the mashed dates to the pan and fry them for 2 to 3 minutes until they blend nicely with the butter. Then, incorporate the powdered walnuts and stir until the mixture is completely smooth and the butter is absorbed.

Step 3: Grind the petit mange biscuits into a fine powder using a blender or grinder. Combine the biscuit powder with ginger and nutmeg powder in the date mixture and mix thoroughly. You can also knead the mix by hand for a bit until it sticks together and forms a smooth dough.

Step 4: Take a tablespoon of the mixture and roll it in your palms to create uniform balls. For added flavor and aesthetics, you can roll the balls in various powders such as cinnamon, coffee, cocoa, sesame, walnut, coconut, pistachio, or even rose petals. To add variety, consider coloring the coconut powder with saffron, coffee, or cocoa.

Step 5: Place the finished balls in paper capsules for a decorative touch and easier serving. Chill them in the refrigerator for about an hour to allow them to firm up and let the flavors meld. After this time, your date balls with petit mange biscuits are ready to be enjoyed.

These date balls are not only delicious but also nutritious, making them a great treat for breaking the fast during Ramadan or as a healthy snack for children at school.

How to make chocolate balls

Essentials Amount required
Petit Mange biscuits A package
Dark chocolate 150 grams
Pistachio powder 2 tablespoons
Banana 1 (ripe)
The amount is recommended for 4 people.

Instructions:

Step 1: Begin by placing the Petit Beurre biscuits in a food processor and blending them until they reach a fine powder consistency. Once this is achieved, peel the banana and incorporate it into the food processor. Blend the mixture again until it becomes smooth. Take a tablespoon of the resulting mixture and gently roll it into smooth balls using your hands. Arrange the balls in a suitable container.

Step 2: Allow the balls to chill in the refrigerator for approximately 1 hour to firm up. During this time, you can chop the dark chocolate and melt it using the bain-marie method, which involves indirect heat. Once melted, let the chocolate cool slightly. After the hour has passed, retrieve the balls from the refrigerator and dip them in the melted chocolate, ensuring they are fully coated. For added visual appeal, consider decorating them with pistachio powder or another desired topping.

Afterward, place the chocolate-coated balls back in the refrigerator for an additional hour to allow the chocolate to set properly. Once they are ready, you can thoughtfully arrange them on your preferred serving dish and enjoy them alongside saffron tea.
